Chautauqua-Wawasee’s second annual Fun Film Festival is set for August 6 at Syracuse’s Pickwick Theater.  The Film Festival will feature personal phone videos of family fun on the water, biking, boating, pets, skating…anything fun or funny. The videos are uploaded by you to a dropbox for editing, adding captions, trimming, and judging.  There will be prizes for categories such as Best Pet Video, Best Tubing Video, and others.  So, add to the fun by uploading your phone videos via the link at the bottom of this page.  Please record in landscape format if you wish to participate.

Chautauqua-Wawasee is holding the 8th annual Wawasee Oakwood Fine Arts Festival on May 28 in the park of Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana. This Festival brings together over 30 local and regional artists from around Indiana and beyond. All art has been juried to qualify for inclusion in the festival.  The beautiful outdoor setting provides a family-friendly environment. Children’s activities and playground are available. Food vendors are onsite for snacks and lunch, with outside seating available. Attendance is free. Stop by the Chautauqua booth for a free gift. The Art Festival will take place rain or shine.

Chautauqua-Wawasee and the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum will once again enjoy local historian Ann Garceau as she
narrates a cruise of Lake Wawasee highlighting “Points of Interest” aboard the SS Lillypad II.

This event is always popular so get your tickets early.

Ann will share her knowledge about historic hotels, events, property owners, restaurants, entertainment venues, boat taxis, marinas, other points of interest, and little-known facts as the SS Lillypad proceeds around the shoreline of the lake. Snack food will be provided along with a cash bar.

Again, this event will sell out so buy your tickets early.
