Chautauqua-Wawasee has received notice that Purdue University has announced the cancellation of all extracurricular events which includes Purdue Varsity Glee Club performances.  We are very disappointed because their performance scheduled for April 24 here in Syracuse was approaching a sell-out.  We are in the process of refunding all ticket sales; that process will complete by March 12.  To be clear, the April 24 event is canceled.  We have been given a tentative reschedule date in October, and will share more information once this is finalized.

Chautauqua-Wawasee is holding the 7th annual Oakwood Fine Arts Festival June 12 in the park of Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana.  This Festival brings together 30 local and regional artists from around the northern Indiana area.

The outdoor setting provides a family-friendly environment.  Food vendors are onsite for snacks and lunch, with outside seating available.  Also, The Pier and Back Porch, a lovely on-site restaurant, offers a full menu with both indoor and outdoor lakefront dining.  Children may be entertained by a children’s craft activity, and enjoy the nearby playground.   Attendance is free, and ample parking is available.  Like every year, the Oakwood Fine Arts Festival is sure to be an event to remember.

Stop by the Chautauqua-Wawasee tent for a free give-away.  We can’t wait to see you there!
